OpenRouter - Credits Management

Overview

Guide for managing credits on OpenRouter, including purchasing credits and setting up auto top-up.

Prerequisites

• OpenRouter account
• Registered payment method (credit card)

Sign In

1. Navigate to https://openrouter.ai/settings/credits
2. If not signed in, you'll be redirected to sign-in page
3. Available sign-in methods:
   • button "Sign in with GitHub"
   • button "Sign in with Google"
   • button "Sign in with MetaMask"
   • textbox "Email address" + button "Continue"

Check Balance

After sign in, the Credits page shows:

• "Remaining credits: X.XXX" - current balance
• "Recent Transactions" table - purchase history

Purchase Credits

1. Click button "Add Credits"
2. Purchase dialog opens with:
   • Payment method selector (e.g., "VISA (XXXX) MM/YYYY")
   • spinbutton for Amount (default: $10)
   • "Service fees" display
   • "Total due" display
3. Adjust amount if needed
4. Click button "Purchase"
5. Wait for confirmation - balance updates automatically

Enable Auto Top-Up

Automatically purchase credits when balance drops below threshold.

1. Find "Auto Top-Up" section on Credits page
2. Click button "Enable"
3. Dialog opens with switch "Enable auto top up"
4. Click the switch to enable
5. Default settings appear:
   • "When credits are below: $2"
   • "Purchase this amount: $25"
   • Payment method selector
6. Adjust threshold and amount if needed
7. Click button "Close" to save

Manage Auto Top-Up

After enabling, the section shows:

• "Auto top-up is enabled and will add X credits automatically when your balance drops below Y."
• button "Manage" - click to modify settings
