Overview
Login to Twitch using Google account authentication.
Workflow
Step 1: Navigate to Twitch
Navigate to https://www.twitch.tv/
Step 2: Open Login Modal
Click button "Log In" in the top navigation bar.
Step 3: Select Google Login
In the login modal, click button "Google logo Continue with Google".
A new tab opens with Google account selection.
Step 4: Select Google Account
On the Google account chooser page:
- Click link with your email address
Step 5: Google Verification (if required)
Google may require additional verification:
- Select country code from dropdown "Calling Code"
- Enter phone number in input "Phone number"
- Click button "Get code"
- Enter 6-digit code in input "Enter the code"
- Click button "Next"
Step 6: Return to Twitch
After Google authentication, the browser redirects back to Twitch.
A security modal may appear:
- heading "Increase Your Account Security"
- Click button "Continue" to add phone number, or button "No Thanks" to skip
Step 7: Phone Verification (optional)
If continuing with phone verification:
- Select country from input "Country Code"
- Enter number in input "Phone Number"
- Click button "Continue"
- Enter 6-digit SMS code in the verification inputs
- Click button "Submit"
- Click button "Close" when "Your Account is Now More Secure" appears
Success Indicators
- "Following" link visible in navigation
- "User Avatar" button visible in top right
- No "Log In" or "Sign Up" buttons visible
Notes
- Google OAuth opens in a new tab - switch tabs after clicking
- Phone verification is optional but recommended for account security
- The login modal can be closed with button "Close modal" if needed
