Overview
Configure stream title, category, tags, and language in Twitch Creator Dashboard before going live.
Prerequisites
- Logged into Twitch account
- On Twitch homepage or any Twitch page
Workflow
1. Access Creator Dashboard
- Click
button "User Avatar"(top-right corner) - Click
link "Creator Dashboard"from the dropdown menu
2. Open Stream Manager
- In the left navigation, click
link "Stream Manager" - If a modal appears (e.g., collaboration features, clip sharing), click
button "Got it!"orbutton "No Thanks"to dismiss
3. Edit Stream Info
- In Quick Actions panel, click
button "Edit Stream Info" - A dialog opens with the following fields:
Title
- Click
input "Title"and enter your stream title - Character limit: 140
Category
- Click
combobox "Category"and type your category name (e.g., "Just Chatting") - Select from the dropdown options that appear
Tags
- Click
combobox "Tags"and type a tag name - Click
button "Add Tag"to add it - Repeat for additional tags (up to 10)
- To remove a tag, click the tag button (e.g.,
button "VTuber")
Stream Language
- Click
combobox "Stream Language" - Select your language from the dropdown (e.g., "Japanese", "English")
4. Save Settings
- Click
button "Done"at the bottom of the dialog - Confirm the success message: "Stream Info updated successfully."
Tips
- Category selection shows viewer count and follower count to help choose popular categories
- Tags help viewers discover your stream - use relevant tags like "VTuber", "AI", language tags, etc.
- Stream Language should match your primary spoken language during the stream
